Sheer reflections. . .

All things sheer must seriously be evicted from every high- fashion apartment if worn the conformist way--as solely lingerie or under/over solids. This rather angelic texture should go back to the sewing machine for some revamping.

Black sheer, creme sheer, pomegranate and plum sheers alike inevitably conceal themselves. In other words, we fashionistas must not wear only our own skin under sheer pieces or else we will be judged negatively, so we must destroy the transparent centerpiece. Last winter, when I had been "fais du shopping" in the Galeries Lafayette Department Store in Paris, I stumbled upon a most intricately detailed sheer blouse with a perfectly symmetrical, flouncy neckline and an old-school vintage vibe. The blouse was a vanilla crème and garnished with polka dots and ruffles around the edges. Flawless..until I tried it on and realized it was to short to exhibit without some over-piece.

Though black and white don't trick the eye in most cases, I feel as if a most dark or most light colored solid removes the artsy touches of the outfit's centerpiece. In this case, layers do not look polished in the least.

But the embellished sheers have come full circle in the fashion kingdom with high status designers such as Givenchy constructing silouhettes for thousands of dollars, complemented with other lush features like silk. Just because sheer pieces may be revealing, it doesn't mean they have not yet been, and are not recently being worshipped. I know that garments are supposed to be works of art, most of which is vehemently idealistic, so add other crafty things to the transparency like a bold-patterned scarf, chunky statement jewelry, particularly necklaces and pendants, or bright colored cardigan, or sleek trench.
